over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven't strayed away!

Missions 2023
Ghana Missions 2023: Focus on Sustainable Mission Initiatives
God has truly opened doors for AIM to have a huge impact on the development of people in some villages and near major cities. To maintain the momentum and expand on the progress made, we see the need to focus on the sustainability of our initiatives through activities that are both maintenance-oriented and growth-focused.
Our strategy is three-fold:
-
Ministerial & biblical training to support local church growth.
-
Reinvesting proceeds into missionary expansion to neighboring villages in the Central region.
-
Employment of skilled personnel for training and coaching i.e., agricultural officers and financial advisers.
Breaking Barriers, Building Hope
“Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season…” – 2 Timothy 4:2
This year, the Dunkwa ministry stood as a living testimony to God’s power to meet both physical and spiritual needs. Building on the foundations laid in previous years, our 2023 focus has been sustainable mission initiatives — equipping the community to overcome poverty, walk in freedom, and live out the Gospel.
Mission Bakery – Expanding Opportunity
From its 2021 beginnings as a humble dream, the AIM Bakery has become a cornerstone of Dunkwa’s mission work. In 2023, with increased efficiency from a new bread kneading machine, the bakery met growing demand — feeding participants at mission events, blessing children and adults alike, and providing steady jobs for local families. Every loaf is both nourishment and a reminder of God’s provision.
Clean Water and Year‑Round Agriculture: Goodbye Debt, Hello clean Water
Responding to the critical need for safe drinking water in the Alhaji Krom and Nyame Nae communities, two boreholes were drilled this year — one at the mission center and another at the mission farm — sponsored in partnership with Family Life Fellowship (FLF). Alongside the wells, two poly tanks (water tanks) were installed for irrigation, paving the way for year‑round vegetable farming. Agricultural training expanded beyond crops to include snail and rabbit rearing, opening fresh income streams for families and reinforcing our vision for financial freedom in rural communities.
Snail & Rabbit Rearing
This year’s agricultural expansion brought training in alternative farming techniques, including snail and rabbit rearing — creating sustainable income sources and broadening food security in the Dunkwa district.
Medical Missions and Compassionate Care
During a September outreach, a two-day free clinic at the AIM Mission Center provided medical care to 209 patients. Treatments for malaria, infections, and other ailments were combined with health education on hygiene and disease prevention. Medicines came from both local purchase and donations from our mission partners, underscoring how collaboration turns vision into impact.
Faith at the Core
Whether through a slice of bread, a bucket of fresh water, or a clinic visit, Christ remains the center. Ministerial training continues to equip believers to reach neighboring villages, and every community project becomes a doorway for discipleship. 2023 has been a year of visible transformation — jobs created, water flowing, fields planted, bodies healed, and hearts drawn to Christ. These breakthroughs are steps toward the long‑held vision: a Christ-centered, self-sustaining Dunkwa that shines as a beacon of hope to all who pass through.

Missions 2022
During subsequent follow-ups, AIM team members identified a cycle of crippling debt and poverty as a great socio-economic crisis that faced the new converts and locals in the area. We came to understand that cocoa farming is the main occupation available to the villagers. Cocoa is a long- term seasonal cash crop. Between April and September, the people work vigorously on their farms to harvest and sell cocoa to outside companies. Due to the cyclical nature of farming, the bulk of income is earned during harvesting season with no income outside that.
During our time there, we found that by the end of December, most of the earned income was usually depleted in taking care of the necessities of life. The locals therefore resorted to taking high-interest rate loans of up to 100% to sustain their lives and to keep up with any emergencies that may arise. They faced an unparalleled and chronic economic crisis that trapped them into a cycle of mounting debt for themselves and the succeeding generations. From many angles, we knew that the Good News of Jesus Christ was relevant and needed to be shared without delay.
We set our focus on transforming the economic status of the locals to achieve freedom from debt to obtain God’s blessings. We embarked on the following:
-
Ministerial & Biblical counseling and teaching on wealth
-
Training in small-scale industries like basket weaving, bakery, and vegetable farming
Through the assistance of the local chief (who offered a piece of land), some local businessmen, partners and friends abroad, and Rev. Yaw Asante (a senior minister who oversees the mission work in that area), AIM has initiated a baking factory that has created job opportunities and generated revenue for the brethren and food for the community.
This year, we were blessed to have additional collaboration and support from the Family Life Fellowship (FLF) mission team from Boston, Massachusetts. Under the leadership of Pastor
Agabus Lartey, the team joined us in the village on October 11th and 12th. They ordered a large volume of bread and provided drinks to feed the entire community, leading to ministerial opportunities on those nights. There was great jubilation and dancing in the whole community. Chief Nana Gyimo applauded and affirmed: “God has visited us!” In addition, the FLF mission team donated a larger oven with all its accessories to the baking factory and purchased an additional 5.5 acres of land for the church to continue the work of vegetable and fish farming. To God be the glory for his faithfulness!

Missions 2018
The second project that AIM set forth for the 2018 year was to assist in the construction of a
place of worship for those who chose Jesus as their Lord and savior during the the 2017 mission
season at a remote village in Central Region, Ghana. As we’ve shared with you previously,
some pastors from the city frequently travel to the village to teach and disciple them. In the
absence of a church in the area, the converts are tasked with walking close to three miles to a
nearby village in order to attend worship service. The men and women of Dunkwa have been
committed, dedicated to their new faith in Christ, and consistent to build on it. They have been
evangelizing and have won several souls for the Lord. They initiated the work of building a place
of worship, sourcing local timber from the bush.
Team members of AIM in Ghana were motivated. Led by Evangelist Yaw Asante, they were able
to accumulate some funds from Christian businessmen from the city, who gave generously to
support the cause of construction of a simple chapel and two rooms for missionaries who visit.
AIM as an organization was able to support this project with $1000.00. Within three weeks
the project was completed. It has been amazing to witness what the Lord is doing!
Summer 2018 Update
One of our partners, Pastor Youssef, has accepted the call to shepherd members of this new church. He loves the Lord so much and is passionate for souls. He has moved his family from the city to live in the village for this great call. The Lord is using him to do a great work and church is steadily growing. A brother in Texas, Mr. Osei Agyemang, has kindly bought a motor bicycle to assist Pastor Youssef to make the work easier. Pastor Youssef needs our support for the great sacrifice and work he is doing in Dunkwa.
